Diamond Bar, CA (09/27/23) - Mayor Andrew Chou delivers the annual State of the City address to a capacity crowd on September 27, 2023 at the Diamond Bar Center. During his speech, Mayor Chou highlighted the city's conservative approach to fiscal management which resulted in a surplus of over $300,000 in the current fiscal year, the city's investment of approximately nine million dollars to repair and maintain over 25 miles of roadways this year, and the anticipated rollout of automated license plate readers to help deputies fight crime. He also called on the city to continue to 'stand strong, uplift one another, and to celebrate the diversity that makes our city so unique".
Diamond Bar, CA (10/24/23) - The City of Diamond Bar held its annual public safety appreciation luncheon at the beautiful Diamond Bar Community Center. The City honored the many men and women who are dedicated to keeping our community safe. Special thanks to our public safety partners from Walnut / Diamond Bar Sheriff's Station, Los Angeles County Fire Department, and Inland Valley Humane Society & SPCA.
My commitment to public safety has always been my top priority. I firmly believe that every resident deserves to feel safe and secure in their community, and I have worked tirelessly to make that a reality. To achieve this goal, I have taken a proactive approach to addressing issues such as crime prevention, emergency preparedness, and community outreach. I have worked closely with local law enforcement agencies to implement effective crime reduction strategies, while also promoting community involvement and awareness.
I deeply recognize the importance of fostering a strong sense of community and have worked tirelessly to promote it. I have organized community events, such as vaccination clinics, food drives, toy drives, and many others, which have brought together residents from all walks of life. I have also worked to establish programs that support local businesses and promote economic growth in the community. My commitment to community building has helped to make Diamond Bar a better place to live, work, and raise a family.
I am committed to fostering local economic growth. I firmly believe that when local businesses thrive, the entire community benefits. That's why I founded the Diamond Bar CEO Circle, a monthly networking luncheon that brings together local business owners to connect, share ideas, and collaborate. In addition, I have worked to establish programs that promote entrepreneurship and provide resources and support to help new businesses get off the ground. I am committed to help to create jobs, attract new investment, and promote economic prosperity for all residents of Diamond Bar.
As a leader in Diamond Bar, I am deeply committed to ensuring equity, equal representation, and fighting racism in all its forms, both within the city and beyond. I firmly believe that everyone should have the opportunity to live and work in a safe and inclusive community, regardless of their background or ethnicity. To achieve this, I have taken a proactive approach to promoting diversity and inclusivity, including implementing policies that ensure equal representation and opportunities for all residents. I have also worked closely with community leaders and organizations to address systemic racism and discrimination, and to promote education and understanding around issues of diversity and inclusion.
As a leader in Diamond Bar, I have taken a proactive approach to responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. The safety and well-being of our residents has been my top priority throughout this challenging time, and I have worked tirelessly to implement measures that protect public health and safety. To help curb the spread of the virus, I have implemented safety protocols and guidelines, such as mask mandates and social distancing measures. I have also worked to provide access to critical resources, such as testing and vaccination sites, to ensure that our community has the support it needs to stay healthy. I am proud to have held vaccination events in Diamond Bar to make it easy and convenient for our residents to get vaccinated.
